Spherical roller bearings feature two rows of barrel-shaped rollers and a common spherical raceway in the outer ring. Their design allows them to accommodate heavy radial loads, as well as axial loads in both directions, while compensating for angular misalignment between the shaft and housing.
Taper roller bearings consist of an inner ring (cone), an outer ring (cup), tapered rollers, and a cage. Their tapered raceways allow them to support combined radial and axial loads. Their axial load-carrying capacity increases with the contact angle, making them suitable for demanding industrial applications.
Cylindrical roller bearings use cylindrical-shaped rollers as rolling elements, providing a larger contact area between the rollers and raceways. This design enables them to accommodate high radial loads and operate at high speeds. They are available in single-row, double-row, and multi-row configurations to meet different load requirements.
Spherical roller thrust bearings are designed to accommodate heavy axial loads in one direction, along with radial loads. They feature asymmetrically barrel-shaped rollers and a spherical raceway that allows angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. Their construction makes them suitable for demanding applications where shaft deflection or misalignment may occur.
